Objective: To acquire academic knowledge and analytical skills for understanding modern East Asian history This series of seminars focus on the integrated history of modern Japan within East Asia from the mid-19th to the late-20th centuries. The series will cover national narratives of modern Japan, China, and Korea, while emphasizing the connections and commonalities among them. The aim of the series is to examine the past 150 years of East Asian history, exploring the interaction between history and contemporary affairs.
