Gender in Contemporary Japan

By the end of the course students should be able to:
1) define gender in a way that allows for freedom of choice;
2) identify current social issues in Japan from a gender perspective;
3) conceptualize the link between gender identity construction and one or several
social issues in Japan and in your home country.
